This year everything is different. Because of the corona pandemic, all major international sporting events have either been cancelled entirely or can only take place under very adverse circumstances. This also applies to the Formula 1 World Championship, which is also only allowed to drive in front of empty spectator stands. In order not to lose the important television and sponsorship money, the Formula 1 makers have to get at least fifteen Grand Prix dates together this season. So far, thirteen race dates have been set and, to the great joy and surprise in Germany, a Grand Prix will also take place at the Nürburgring. Jens Hoffmeister reports.
