There are more than a few movies in which a four-legged star steals the show from a celebrity. From a brave German police dog Rex to an intelligent pup like Lassie, these are the loyal hounds that warmed our hearts throughout film history.

Bente Dubnitzki  is a qualified dog trainer. Three of her four-legged "movie stars" come from a dog shelter. SBS-correspondent Katharina Loesche took the “op-paw-tunity”, to ask Bente what you should consider before finding your “fur-ever” friend and what her work with dogs looks like.
