Dangers for health and environment: El Niño has been declared for Australia

In the past weeks, there had already been speculation about it. Since yesterday it is certain: The weather phenomenon El Niño is back in Australia. The effects of El Niño are already being felt now, in spring, with record-breaking heat waves in large parts of the country. Health experts are now warning people to prepare for the upcoming summer heat.
