German Au Pairs in Australia: Are they really being exploited?

An estimated 10,000 young people come to Australia each year to work as Au Pairs. A third of them come from Germany. However, a new study by UTS and Macquarie University in Sydney claims a majority of them are being exploited financially and emotionally. Is this really true?
