The German-Australian Opera Grant (GAOG) is one of the biggest career chances for young emerging Australian opera singers. SBS German spoke to Artistic Director Uwe Eric Laufenberg in Wiesbaden to find out more.
The Grant consists of a one-year employment contract with the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, complete with German language tuition at the Goethe-Institut, a return flight to Germany and $4500 cash.
