The German Film Festival kicked off this week in Brisbane. Feature movie at the opening night: the directorial debut of one of Germany's best-known actors, Daniel Brühl. In “Next Door" - a black comedy about gentrification in post-reunification Berlin - he not only plays the lead role, but also himself, an actor. Katharina Loesche reports
