The German community in the greater Brisbane area was already thinking that it would have to do without the Oktoberfest this year, because of the outbreak of the corona virus. But the German Club Gold Coast made it in compliance with all applicable measures possible, that no one has to miss out on "Bavarian cosiness" down under. Christine Löwe, president of the club, reports to SBS correspondent Katharina Loesche how the implementation of such a major event was possible.
