“Hamlet is a very honest artistic answer to Shakespeare”

You can currently experience the piece “Hamlet” at the Sydney Opera House. It is a demanding, contemporary performance that challenges the musicians as well as the audience. The music was composed by Australian Brett Dean and, in addition to a Dolby Surround sound concept, also integrates unusual elements such as water bottles, an accordion and electronic sounds. Bringing all this together is a challenge that the young British-German conductor Tim Anderson set himself during his Sydney Opera House debut.
