Viviane Krause from Western Australia is pregnant and is flying to Germany with her Australian partner this Friday. But it's not as simple as that sounds. The borders in Australia have been tight since mid-March 2020, in both directions. Anyone who wants to get out needs a permit, and there's no guarantee of returning anytime soon, given the recent halving of hotel quarantine spots.
