Lucie Maucher and Eliska Jeffrey from Froebel Kindergarten were in my studio. Lucie is Family Relationships and Marketing Coordinator, for the kindergarten chain, with 4 centers, in Sydney and Melbourne. Last month, Froebel celebrated its 10th anniversary in Australia, with a total of about 400 children and 100 employees. Eliska Jeffrey is one of the German-speaking educators in the branch in St.Leonards. Froebel Kindergarten is a German organisation with a bi-lingual early education approach. But there are more news besides the anniversary. Together with her toddlers, Eliska has built a street library with books for people of all ages. It faces the entrance to Pacific Highway 454-456 and even stays there at night. On the 3rd of August there will also be an open-door day, where anyone can have a closer look at the 4 floors of the kindergarten and inquire about the operation.
