On May 25, the radio studio was full. 17 students of the GISS were here with us - at SBS in Sydney to get a little insight into the organization and to conduct the first interviews. Because all of this is part of their projects, where they work for the ideas competition "Unternehmen Deutsch" or "Enterprise German".

Initiated by the Goethe Institute, this ideas competition serves the purpose of vocational orientation. Involved are schools from all over Australia. It is intended to promote cooperation between schools and German and Australian companies with a German connection in the region. The project combines aspects of vocational orientation with creativity and ingenuity. And the students all have that!

Four groups were in my studio, one of them has chosen SBS as a company. In this two-part series airing this week and next, we hear from all four groups. Today the teacher Denise Parsons and the marketing expert and teacher Silvia Scholle give us an overview. We also hear from the group SINN consisting of Ivy Semple, Nora Audineau-Schüssler, Saskia Scholle and Nelli Conrad, who have committed themselves to SBS. From the groups Bangarang - Berlin Bangers, The Holey Ones - Nutie and the Bimbobande - Rimowa we will hear next week.
