In conversation: What does a conductor do?

On February 23, the concert season in Willoughby begins with a spectacular gala evening. The theme is "The Vienna Opera House". The artistic director and conductor Dr Nicholas Milton is world famous. He is originally from Australia but has been working in Germany and Austria for many years and with famous orchestras around the world. In Willoughby, however, he is at home. There he grew up and knows many members of the orchestra since his youth. That's why it always makes a special pleasure to inspire the audience with the music, because that is one of the most important tasks of the conductor.
