The Invictus Games Sydney demonstrated the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who serve.
“Invictus” is Latin for unconquered, and it embodies the fighting spirit and resilience of service personnel. 20 injured German soldiers were among the 500 participants from 18 nations at the games.
