“It is important that Switzerland sees the verdict as an opportunity”

It was a verdict that caused a stir worldwide and overnight, the Swiss Association of Climate Seniors became world-famous. The more than 2500 members had sued the country before the European Court of Human Rights claiming the human rights of older women had been violated and Switzerland would not do enough against global warming. The court saw this confirmed and now the country must react politically. Board member Pia Hollenstein believes that the verdict could set a precedent for further lawsuits worldwide.
