There are many opportunities for children and adults to learn German in Brisbane. The Brisbane German Language School is one of them.

In addition to their Saturday classes, the non-for-profit school brings even more to the German community: For decades, the teachers volunteer to organise the annual "Lantern Festival" - one of the of most popular festivals for families in Brisbane. Of course it has to happen only in the Australian winter, so the mulled wine tastes even better.

A highlight for the German Community in Brisbane, which attracts around 300-400 visitors.

Our Queensland correspondent Katharina Loesche has been a visitor to the “Lantern Festival” for many years and she has spoken with the school's president, Tanja Millis, about Saturday school and the upcoming Lantern Festival tomorrow, the 4.August.
