On the 27th of August, the town of Hahndorf near Adelaide will be illuminated by hundreds of spectacular lanterns.
At the Hahndorf Winter Latern Fesitval, hundreds of children and adults roam the streets with self-designed lanterns and create a very special atmosphere.
Lantern processions are an integral part of tradition in Germany and since 2015, you can also experience this tradition up close here in Australia.
One who has been there since the start of the festival is German resident Mathias Süphke. We talked to him about the festival.
