So far, the consequences of climate change have been most evident in Australia and the Pacific Islands. The extreme bushfires are just a harbinger of what to expect when global temperatures continue to rise. In some Pacific islands, agricultural land is already partially flooded. Kiribati has already bought a big plot on the Fiji Islands in case the entire population has to be evacuated.
