Michael Pranckl completes Australian Triple Crown in Marathon Swimming

Preparation is everything, also before the last competition on 18 March in Fremantle WA, prior to the 25 kilometre swim to Rottnest Island.

Austrian Michael Pranckl has just become the first continental European to complete the Australian Triple Crown in marathon swimming. He finished three free-swimming competitions, in Tasmania, Sydney and Rottnest Island. That's a total of 83 kilometres - and all within one month!
