Quickly picking up bread rolls on a Sunday morning can be difficult in Australia. A small German bakery in Mount Eliza, south of Melbourne, has been offering German-style baked goods for a year now. The Bütterken Bakery run by Hendrik Rössmann and Anita Seferian (both 31) attracts many German customers. But Australians are also enthusiastic about their pretzels and poppy seed buns. But the road to success was sometimes bumpy.
