The tranquil seaside town of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland is haunted by mysterious murders - luckily only in the crime novels written by Marion Birkenbeil. The German author and landscape architect lives in the beautiful coastal town and lets her characters experience great adventures in her books. Marion now has also published a bilingual cookbook, in German and English. In an interview, she tells the SBS correspondent Katharina Loesche how Marion got into writing and what tips she has for emerging authors.
