On August 15 and 16, the symposium Musical Exile, Migration and Cultural Mobility will take place in Melbourne. It is dedicated to the moving story of musicians who had to flee Germany and Austria in the 20th century and established new cultural roots in Great Britain and Australia. London-based tenor, author and musicologist Norbert Meyn has been researching this topic for years and talks about the connection between music and migration.
