Driven by her husband Friedrich's dream of a farm in Australia, Frauke Bolten-Boshammer found herself in 1981 with four small children as the only German family in a tiny village in northern Western Australia, in Kununurra. But the longed-for success did not materialize, and Friedrich took his own life.
