The refugee crisis in Germany and Europe is not abating this year. More than 50,000 migrants and asylum seekers arrived in Germany in January alone. The experts' view is that even more will arrive in spring and summer, when the conditions on the transit routes become less perilous. But how does Germany cope with this influx? And why is it so important that the refugees learn German as quickly as possible? SBS correspondent Daniel Salg visited the Eckert Schools in Nuremberg, in a bid to find out how the migrants learn those vital language and culture skills.
