St John's: Portrait of a German playgroup in Melbourne

There are many German playgroups in Australia. One of them is located in Springvale in the South-East of Melbourne. SBS reporter Jennifer Goletz went to one of the weekly gatherings to find out more.

The German playgroup meets every Thursday morning at the St. John's German Lutheran Parish, 3 Albert Avenue, Springvale, Victoria 3171.

The playgroup is designed for children aged 0-5. For older kids, there’s a separate group (Die Johannesbären) which meets on the first Saturday afternoon of each month.
