Study: Whether songs put people in a good mood depends on culture

Music in major keys conveys cheerfulness, while minor keys are usually perceived as sad. However, this perception is not universal, as Australian researchers have now discovered. I spoke with my colleague Barbara Barkhausen, who has taken a closer look at this exciting topic.
