The German Club Tivoli in Melbourne is one of the oldest German organisations in Australia. It was founded in 1860 at the time of the gold rush, when many Germans came to Victoria. Today it has about 800 members and many subgroups, such as the well-known male choir Liedertafel Arion, as well as mixed choirs, a carnival club, card club, traditional dance group, soccer club and many more. Of course the famous Oktoberfest will be celebrated too, in 2015 it's on the 10th and 11th of October.
