Over the last two decades, the Swiss artist Franziska Furter has repeatedly addressed the weather as a theme in her work. This is also the case in her latest installation Gyrwint, which is currently on view at the Triennale in the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. The power of nature is made tangible here with a huge carpet that shows a compilation of several infrared satellite images of hurricanes. The installation Haku floats above it - strands of glass beads that represent wafts of mist.
