"We were driven to the hotel with a police escort"

Never in recent times has the distance between Australia and Europe felt wider. Spontaneously getting onto a plane and flying to the other end of the world - that is almost impossible, due to COVID-19. But Australian expat Lucianne Brady did just that. At the heighth of the pandemic, the Frankfurt-based teacher flew to Sydney to visit her parents.
