Swabian migrant Karin Igel has lived with her German husband in Western Australia, 70 kilometres south of Perth, since 2011. The couple came to Australia on a "retirement visa", "which very few people have applied for because it is very complicated and involves a lot of money". They have not seen their daughter in Amsterdam for two years, and the couple will not benefit from the opening of the borders in November, "because we are neither Australians nor do we have the PR". How does Karin Igel cope with this situation and what are her views on Australia's corona policies?
