Will the high-speed train become a reality in Australia?

Compared with Europe, Australia's rail system leaves a lot to wish for. But now Australia finally seems to want to get serious about building high-speed lines based on foreign models. But does that even make sense? We talked to German rail expert Dr. Frank Heibel about economic viability, feasibility studies and the difference between train traffic in the cities and the regions.
