13 February is World Radio day. The UNESCO event invites people around the world to celebrate radio and how it shapes our lives. SBS producer Mathias Brueck joined Christian Froelicher in the studio to discuss the gripping history, importance and future of radio, and SBS German in particular.

SBS German broadcasts five radio programs per week, from our two studios in Melbourne and Sydney. Monday to Friday 7-8pm on SBS Radio 2.

Our broadcasts are in German, for Australia's German-speaking community and German-speakers worldwide. We are one of 68 language programs at SBS Radio.
