The Federal Government is trying to convince AGL to keep the Liddell power station running for five years beyond its 2022 closure date or to sell it to another company. It wants to ensure there's enough electricity in the grid if the plant does have to close. At a meeting yesterday (mon), A-G-L chief Andy Vesey told the government he would take its proposals to the A-G-L board but then appeared to back away from that commitment. Dina Gerolymou and Themis Kallos discuss the story.
