Adelaide Utd, Central Coast progress to the semi-finals of the FFA Cup

Adelaide United and Central Coast have become the first teams to qualify for the FFA Cup. They both defeated 1-0 their opponents last night.

Adelaide United and Central Coast have become the first teams to qualify for the FFA Cup. They both defeated 1-0 their opponents last night.


In Adelaide, local United were fortunate to play for approximately 80 minutes with one more player, as Newcastle was left with 10, after Toure saw the red card at the 11th minute. Adelaide winning goal cam at the 42nd minute by  Italiano. Thus, Adelaide remains in course to defend its title.

In Melbourne, Central Coast defeated 1-0 Hume City with the goal coming in the dying minutes (92’). Abraham Majok was the scorer.

Tonight (Wed) the other two quarter-finals games are played. Brisbane Strikers will be the hosts to Moreland, and Melbourne City to Western Sydney.
