An Australian-first as Council turn poo into power

Logan City Council has created an Australian-first by successfully turning human waste into energy at its high-tech Loganholme Wastewater Treatment Plant.


Council, along with project partners Pyrocal and Downer, have been trialling a process that sees sewage sludge (biosolids) baked in extreme temperatures to produce biogas.
