Cyprus’ champion, APOEL Nicosia lost this morning to Ajax 2-0, at their second leg match for the play offs of UEFA’s Champions league. The Dutch team, with the draw 0-0 of the first matches, progresses to the group stage.
However it is not all negative for the Cypriot team. APOEL will take part in the group stages of the Europa league.
