His Eminence Archbishop Makarios is expected to arrive in Melbourne on Saturday 3rd of August at 11am, says Bishop of Dervis Ezekiel who is based in Melbourne.

Speaking to SBS Greek, Bishop Ezekiel said the visit was planned soon after His Eminence's enthronement a few weeks ago in Sydney and coincides with the Feast for the Dormition of the Theotokos which culminates with the celebrations on the 15th of August.

His Eminence will stay in Melbourne throughout that period and will meet with government officials, political and community leaders, and representatives of other religions.
