His Eminence has stated that the bill, which has been voted in the Lower House, came forward with no public consultation.
Explaining his position, he said that “the Orthodox Faith and Tradition unequivocally teach that life begins from the first time of the conception, that the life of the unborn is sacred and infinitely valued by God, and therefore must be considered with the same dignity and worth we enjoy ourselves”.
Earlier tonight his Eminence was to address a gathering at Sydney’s martin Place. The gathering was organised by the “Stand for Life Movement”.
