Australia and Netherlands launch fresh legal action against Russia over downing of flight MH17

The Australian government has launched fresh legal action against Russia over the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in 2014.


The plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down in July by a missile fired by pro-Russian rebels while flying over eastern Ukraine.

All 298 people on board, including 38 Australians, died in the attack.
