Authorities urge households in 88 suburbs to boil water after supply contaminated

More than 250,000 households across 88 suburbs in Melbourne and Victoria have been urged to boil water and almost 30,000 people remain without power after wild storms on Thursday night.


The suburbs include most of the outer northern and eastern Melbourne.
Yarra Valley Water and South East Water advised their customers to boil water before the use it for cooking, drinking, brushing teeth, etc.
