New British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has sacked most of the cabinet, vowing to negotiate a new exit deal with the European Union or leave without one by October 31.
The former London mayor has pledged to break the political deadlock that has left Britain in crisis and forced his predecessor Theresa May to delay Brexit twice, and eventually resign.
Within hours of taking office, Mr Johnson signaled his new approach by sacking around a dozen ministers, while several others announced their resignations.
Mr Johnson has appointed Sajid Javid as the country's new chancellor, one of the most senior jobs in cabinet.
