She was found under a bloomed apple tree. Her adopted, poor parents named her Milia. But she had to leave them when still very young.

Milia is one of most known stories by Emmanouil Roidis, the only one he wrote in demotiki. Although it has strong elements of fairy tales and it can easily be confused for a fairy story, Roidis' preference for realism wins in the end and the story's conclusion places the listener/reader firmly on reality.

Produced and narrated by Dina Gerolymou.
