Monday July the 19th marks eight years since the Australian government's offshore detention program came into force.
Since 2013, asylum seekers who've to arrive in Australia by boat have been sent to Nauru and Papua New Guinea for offshore processing.
The anniversary is sparking calls for these detention facilities to be shut down, and those inside to be set free.
