This is the second incident where a person is injured since the Light Rail’s begun operating in the Australian Capital, four months ago. The day of the accident also marked the beginning of the scheduled campaign titled «Rail Safety Week».

The police are investigating the incident and the authorities urge people to take care while crossing the rail lines, to not be distracted by mobile phones or music and to keep an eye on the traffic lights.

More info on   «Rail Safety Week» can be found here.
