'Make Christmas special for all,' says Turnbull in a video message. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has remembered the homeless, the lonely, emergency services and Australia's military in his 2017 Christmas message. Opposition leader Bill Shorten also thanked the thousands of Australians who have and will continue to serve others during the Christmas break. "The brave men and women of our Australian Defence Forces, serving in the Middle East away from their families," Mr Shorten said in a video alongside his wife Chloe. "We think of you and your families back home here in Australia."
