In a written statement Justice minister Ionas Nicolaou said that he has taken his personal decisions regarding the recent murders.


Mr Nicolaou will be informing President Anastasiades today of his decisions.

The search is focused on a man-made lake near the village of Mitsero where the suspect said he dumped the bodies of 3 of 7 foreign women.

Cypriot investigators on Wednesday examined electronic data linked to a suspected serial killer as police intensified a search for the bodies.
