AKEL leader Andros Kyprianou briefed President Nicos Anastasiades on his meetings last weekend with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu in Constaninoplel. Mr Kyprianou called his meeting with Davutoglu remarkably friendly, more so than he expected. It was evident from my discussions that Turkey wants to play a role in the issue of security and guarantees, said Mr Myprianou and added that it seems there is room for dialogue to see if there is something the two Cypriot sides would be agreeable to in those areas.
