Health experts appear optimistic towards the progress made on the pandemic front, with single-digit cases continuing in the last few days.

Just two COVID-19 patients were diagnosed on Tuesday, with low numbers of new cases reported becoming the “new normal” in Cyprus.

Schools have also been partially reopened since the beginning of the week, though only for Year 12 students.

Provided that no issues arise, a full reopening of schools could take place as early as Thursday 21 May.

Further businesses are also expected to be given the ‘green light’ to operate again next week, including beauty parlours and hair salons.
