The flight ban will be lifted from 9 June onwards, with the second phase of relaxations starting on 20 June.

The Council of Ministers has approved the list of 19 countries from which flights will be initially allowed with the expectation to restore air connectivity with more nations gradually, according to their epidemiological status.

The same criteria has been applied for grouping the 19 countries in two categories.

Category A includes: Greece, Malta, Bulgaria, Norway, Austria, Finland, Slovenia, Hungary, Israel, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and Lithuania. Category B includes: Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Croatia, Estonia and the Czech Republic.

All arrivals will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test conducted in the last 72 hours before the flight to board the plane and upon arrival.

However, the prerequisite will only apply to passengers coming from countries falling under category B during the second phase of the reopening plan, coming into effect on 20 June.
