A forum by the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria brought together ethnic communities and stakeholders to discuss the challenges and strengths of multiculturalism in a diverse society.
ECCV sought the views and experiences from its members and other interested parties aiming to establish its future strategic priorities.
Over 25 organisations answered the call of Cr Kris Pavlidis, ECCV's chairperson, to join the discussion and had the opportunity to provide feedback on the peak body's performance.
Workshops, a panel discussion and open dialogue gave the opportunity to talk about racism and discrimination, employment and bringing together new & emerging communities and the established communities and exchange ideas about maintaining and strengthening a diverse and harmonious society.
Since 1974, ECCV has been a key advocate for culturally diverse communities in Victoria and the link between members, government and the wider community.
