Edi Rama apologises to the Greek Prime Minister for his remarks that Greece deceived Europe

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, has apologised to his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis for statements attributed to him that "Greece cheated to enter the European Union".


Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held meetings with the political and state leadership of Albania, in the framework of his visit to Tirana.

The two leaders had a private meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana as part of Mitsotakis' visit to Albania for the EU-Western Balkans Summit.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama apologised for statements broadcast on the Euractiv website in which he had said that "Greece cheated to enter the European Union".
